Steel, wood, glass, carbon, plastic, aluminum, in essence completely varied materials – nevertheless, when skilfully combined, they turn into a work of art of sports equipment.
BASIC SKI BUILDING SEMINAR – MATERIALS
In the BASIC SEMINAR, in order to for you to build an excellent pair of skis, we provide you exclusively with premium materials, such as wooden ski core, fiberglass, edges, ski base and epoxy resin.
PRO SKI BUILDING SEMINAR – MATERIALS
In the PRO MATERIAL SEMINAR you can learn about and select special materials. The skis will be created according to your wishes – with light-weight wood core, carbon or titanium. In addition, there is also a possibility to integrate the side walls, the tip / tail protections and to implement a cap construction. This way you can create a really unique pair or skis – from ultra-light, through racing, to a bespoke with integrated damping and protection elements.
After being built and formed, a Cap Ski allowed for the 2nd time in the oven. Here the ski is subjected to the last step – coating with the design.
The bCore D250 is an ultra-light wood core, made of balsa and flax wood – it was specially developed by Bcomp for the ski industry. With this core material, new standards are set for ultra-light skis.
In comparison to fiberglass, carbon is significantly stiffer, which makes it possible to use thinner layers and it requires less resin for laminating. As a result, you get a lighter ski.
A sidewall is used in order to seal up the wood core, as well as to obtain a dampening effect when bumping the ski. For more appealing effects the sidewalls are available in different colors.
Titanium as a ski building material is suitable for the vibration damping improvement, for a better torsional stiffness and a firmer ski itself.
TIP / TAIL PROTECTION
Tip and tail protections are especially used in freestyle skis, as they allow the greatest possible shock protection. For more appealing effects the sidewalls are available in different colors.
