Take the advantage of the comprehensive “machine park” located in the high-tech workshop – MakerSpace (www.makerspace.de) and build your own pair of skis! With the help of the machines provided in the workshop, we are able to build the skis even more precisely. In addition, even after completing the seminar it is possible to use the machines on your own – sign up by Makerspace and time and start creating your own projects.
MACHINES IN USE FOR SKI BUILDING
WATER JET CUTTING
The 4000 bar high-pressure water jet allows precise cut-outs without causing any damage due to heat. During ski building courses, we use the water jet to precisely cut out the shape of your ski base and also the design-titanium parts.
CNC MILLING – SHOPBOT
The CNC milling machine – Shopbot allows us to mill your ski’s wood core with a precision up to 1/20 mm. With the aid of our self-developed additional components to the machine, we eliminate even the smallest thermal distortions.
Both of the two laser systems are versatile tools used by us for cutting, engraving or marking.
Together with you, we can create unique designs through lasering directly on your skis or veneer patterns!
HAAS VF-2 is a 30kW high-speed CNC machine available to our use. With it, we can manufacture highly precise metal parts, such as tip / tail caps, binding plates or design-out outs from hard aluminum, stainless steel or titanium.
We design our skis with Fusion360 CAD / CAM from Autodesk. Due to the integrated simulation program, we are able to build perfectly tailored skis for you – we can also predict how the ski will react to vibrations or how torsion-resistant it will be.
The Ultimaker 3D printers, are able to print structural designs and ultralight inlay textures. Additionally, we have an access to an EOS 3D sintered printer – it allows us to print the finest structures in a highly precise manner, in order to mount them on the skis.
